Google to shutdown Inbox by Gmail in March 2019
Google has announced that it will shutdown Inbox by Gmail at the end of March 2019. The Mountain View company is planning to focus solely on Gmail and slowly end support for Inbox by Gmail.
Earlier this year, Google introduced the new Gmail, which incorporates many of the same features that users come to love about Inbox. Inbox by Gmail has been a great place to experiment with new ideas like snoozing emails to later, as well as try the latest AI-powered experiences like Smart Reply, Nudges and high-priority notifications to help users stay productive.
It is recommended for Inbox users to begin using the new Gmail. To learn more about the new Gmail, check out this blog post for help with the transition. If admins would like to disable access to Inbox prior to the end of March 2019, it can be done in the Admin console.
