Cisco announces new Meraki Wi-Fi 6 APs

Cisco has announced a new line-up of Meraki Wi-Fi 6 access points (APs). The new Meraki Wi-Fi 6 (also known as 802.11ax) APs share all of the advantages of earlier models including an elegant management experience, integrated Bluetooth and a dedicated full-time security radio but deliver better performance than its predecessor. The devices will become more responsive and higher-performing, providing crisper, more immersive experiences. The new power saving features of these access points will provide the performance needed for a whole new generation of battery-powered IoT use cases.

With custom, programmable chipsets and access to industry-leading analytics capabilities, Cisco’s latest APs deliver a smarter and more secure wireless network. The new access points are also multilingual with the ability to communicate with multiple IoT protocols, including BLE, Zigbee and Thread.
