As a Front-End Developer at PointStar, you will work closely with designers, back-end developers, and product teams to build modern, responsive, and user-friendly web applications. You will play a key role in translating design concepts into functional code, optimising the user experience, and ensuring our web applications perform well across all devices and browsers.

Job Descriptions:

  1. Develop responsive user interfaces: Build interactive and visually appealing web applications that are optimized for various devices and screen sizes.
  2. Collaborate with design and development teams: Work closely with UX/UI designers to turn design wireframes and mockups into functional code.
  3. Write clean and maintainable code: Follow coding standards and best practices to ensure the code is efficient, readable, and maintainable.
  4. Optimize for performance: Ensure fast load times and smooth performance by optimizing resources, images, and code.
  5. Cross-browser compatibility: Ensure the application works seamlessly across different browsers (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari).
  6. Work with APIs: Integrate RESTful APIs or GraphQL to dynamically fetch and display data.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends: Keep up with the latest web technologies, tools, and best practices, and apply them to improve user experiences.
  8. Testing and debugging: Perform unit tests, identify bugs, and troubleshoot issues to maintain high-quality code.
  9. Performs software upgrades and keeps track of software licensing.
  10. Make the configuration, maintenance, enhancement and support of commercial software packages, internally developed applications and web services.
  11. Make the customization and addition of new features to commercial software packages and internally developed applications according to end-user requests.


Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  2. 1-3 years of experience in software development or a related field.
  3. Proven experience as a Front-End Developer or similar role.
  4. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  5. Experience with front-end frameworks/libraries: React.js
  6. Solid understanding of responsive design principles and frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap).
  7. Knowledge of version control systems like Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
  8. Strong understanding of web performance techniques and optimization strategies.
  9. Familiarity with API integration and consumption (RESTful APIs or GraphQL).
  10. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  11. Strong communication skills, able to work in a collaborative environment.
  12. Extensive experience in deploying, optimizing, and maintaining software.
  13. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  14. Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills.
